Taylor, Archie Maynard

Archie Maynard Taylor, age 90, of Pulaski, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012. He was born on Sept. 2, 1921 in Carroll County, and was the son of the late Flora Lee Marshall Taylor and Harley Elmer Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was a retired employee of Burlington Mills in Dublin, and was a member of Dora Highway Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hudson Taylor.

He is survived by his two sons, Sheldon Taylor and his wife, Christine, of Pulaski, and Conley Taylor and his wife, Susie, of Bedford. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Jeffery Wayne Taylor and his wife, Belinda, of Austinville, Dale Taylor and his wife, Robin, of Bedford, Jennifer Peters and her husband, Steve, of Bedford, Lori Lester and her husband, Wes, of Roanoke, and Carrie Ferrell and her husband, Jeff, of Louisa. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, 2 p.m., at Oakwood Cemetery, in Pulaski, with the Rev. Harry Gunter officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
