Taylor, Addison Theodore

A humble servant of his Lord and Savior, Addison Theodore Taylor of Blacksburg was received into the loving arms of the Father, Tuesday, February 27, 2007. He was born February 4, 1938 in Ironto, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents. Berman Harvey Taylor and Mamie Sue Nicewonder Taylor; his brothers, Robert, Berman Harvey, Jr., and Sidney (“Tiny”); and his sisters, Mamie Sue Whitlock and Margarette Allen.

Addison’s understanding of the Father’s love equipped him to generously minister to many people in need. He went through life with a song in his heart, a joyful whistle on his lips, and never spoke an unkind word about anyone. He was the owner of Taylor Frames and Things and operated the Spiritual Roots Ministry Food Bank.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Beverly Pandapas Taylor; his children, David, Stewart and his wife Bonnie, Allison and her husband David Reichert, Alex, Amanda and Dennis Burton, Andrea and Wayne Bollinger, William and Sarah Armstrong; his 11 grandchildren, Ashley Burton, Addison Taylor, Michael Burton, Christopher Reichert, Christopher Bollinger, Ian Reichert, Cassie Bollinger, Aiden Taylor, Carter Taylor, Zachary Armstrong and Tyler Armstrong. He is also survived by his brothers, Harry and wife Mary, Kermit and wife Lorraine, Frank and wife Josephine; and sister-in-law, Lena Taylor; mother-in-law, Anne Pandapas; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Kathryn Sevebeck and William and Virginia Perry.

A memorial celebration of Addison’s life will be Friday, March 2, 2007 at 3 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spiritual Roots Ministry Food Bank, 103 South Main Street, Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The family will receive visitors anytime at 1009 Draper Road in Blacksburg.
