Tawney, Donald Wayne

Donald Wayne (Boo) Tawney, 58, of Christiansburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, April 2, 2015, at his home. He was born in Giles County, Va. on October 2, 1956 to the late William E., Sr. and Maybelle Ann Aistrop Tawney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Marie Tawney.

He was an employee of Salem Stone Corporation for over 30 years.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher L. Snider and Jamie Boggs, Donald O. Tawney and wife, Stacy, and Keith Tawney; daughter and son-in-law, Danielle Tawney and Michael O’Dell; grandchildren, Brandon, Allie, Ragan, Miah, Lauren, Carlee, Eli, Alexis, Adrianna, Gage, Kaden, Micah, Michael, James; one great-grandchild; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and David Linkous, Sandra and Randy Underwood, and Linda Gentle; brothers and sisters-in-law, William E. Jr. and Debbie Tawney, David Tawney, Tracey and Stephanie Tawney, Dennis and Patty Tawney, and Alvin Tawney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Lanny Belcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday evening, April 5, 2015, at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr., SW, Blacksburg, Va.
