Tatum III, Paul Robert

Paul Robert Tatum, III, age 66, of Meadows of Dan died, Saturday, July 3, 2021. He was born in Wytheville, Va. on June 30, 1955. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Wheeler and father, Paul Robert Tatum II. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda, and a son, Jeff.

He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. Bob was a log home builder for many years.

He is survived by the love of his life, Connie Shopshear-Tatum, sons, Robert, Christopher, Dennis Clayton, daughter, Aleacia, special grandchild, Layton, whom Bob called littleman, numerous grandchildren he loved dearly, mother-in-law, Momma Joyce Taylor, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy and Richard, daughters, Oriann Tatum, Tara Kent, sister, Sharon Hinkley, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives, several special friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
