Tankersley, Mary Evangeline Brogan

Mary Evangeline Brogan Tankersley, 85, of Floyd, was born in Giles County to the late John Brogan Sr. and Emma Davis Brogan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Buford Tankersley; and son, Larry Tankersley. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Vernon, and Mary Elizabeth Boyd and husband, Rodney; sons, Mitchell Wayne and wife, Willa, Leslie Tankersley, and David Tankersley; sisters, Lucy Lambert and Jean Staton; brothers, Rabon Brogan and wife, Jane, and John Brogan Jr. and wife, Shelby Belle; sister-in-law, Shirley Tankersley; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011, with the Reverend Joseph Burnside officiating.
