Tallant, Gene Thomas

Gene Thomas Tallant, 66, of Dublin, Va., passed away Friday, March 20, 2009. He was a member of the Fairlawn Church of God. He was retired from Lynchburg Foundry and currently employed with Securitas at Volvo.

Survivors include his wife, Elma Mae Thompson Tallant; a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene Thomas and Gladys Ann Tallant; a daughter, Angela Mae Tallant, all of Dublin; three grandchildren, Monique, Thomas and Amanda Tallant; two great-grandchildren, Destinee Landreth and Brice Wall; three brothers, William Tallant, of Radford, John Tallant, of Warrenton, and Charles Tallant Jr., of Pulaski; and three sisters, Louise Robbins, of Fairlawn, Barbara Akers, of Dublin and Sarah Tallant, of Radford.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2009, at the Fairlawn Church of God with the Rev. Terry Bowden officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
