tabor_lisa_mariaThe Reverend Doctor Lisa Maria Tabor, 35, of Blacksburg, Va., and St. Albans, W.Va., passed away after a long battle with cancer on Friday, May 7, 2010. Lisa is survived by her loving parents, William and Louise Tabor; her brothers, DeAngelo and Adrian; as well as several uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Rev. Dr. Tabor received her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from Virginia Tech and was elected for elder’s ordination in the 2nd Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church. Viewing will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Blacksburg United Methodist Church, 111 Church Street, Blacksburg, Va., with the Homegoing Celebration at noon on Thursday at Blacksburg United Methodist Church. Services in Remembrance of the Rev. Dr. Lisa Tabor in St. Albans, W.Va.: Viewing will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 821 B Street, St., Albans, W.Va. Interment will immediately follow the viewing at Cunningham Memorial Park, 815 Cunningham Lane, St. Albans, W.Va.
