Tabor, Lawrence Clayton
Lawrence Clayton Tabor, 85, of 201 Wheatland Court, Christiansburg VA, departed this life Saturday morning, December 23, 2023. Born in Giles County on April 22, 1938, he was the son of the late William Meadow Tabor and Emma Jane Rock Tabor.
Lawrence was retired from the town of Blacksburg where he served as an Engineer. He was a long-time member of Sydney Church in Riner VA.
Lawrence was an avid sportsman and enjoyed all manners of hunting, fishing, shooting and was a member of the Issac Walton League. He also enjoyed photography, gardening and time spent outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Clyde, George, Alfred, Jim and Chester Tabor and his sisters Gladys Hudson, Margaret Anderson, and Katherine Karlowski. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 63 years, Janet Sue Williams Tabor.
Per Lawrence’s request there will be no services. Lawrence was laid to rest in Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg.

This man was a great mentor to Larry Sowers when he was a young hunter. He knew so much about so many different subjects. Prayers of comfort to his loving wife.
