Sykes, Wayne Edward

Wayne Edward “Ed” Sykes, age 55 of Hiwassee, Virginia passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at his home. Born July 11, 1959 in Ronceverte, West Virginia he was the son of the late Lloyd Layton & Margie Walkup Sykes. His brother; Orville Walter Sykes also preceded him in death.

He is survived by his Wife- Robin Reginia Sykes – Hiwassee Step-Son- Joshua Lee O’Dell – Winchester, VA Step-Daughter- Angie Brown – Covington, VA 1 Step-Grandson- Reid Brown Sister- Sharon & Jerry Craft – Sharon, VA Brothers- Duane & Angelia Sykes – White Sulphur, WV Michael & Virginia Sykes – Fincastle, VA William Douglas & Cindy Sykes – Clintonville, WV David Ray & Jane Sykes – Clintonville, WV Sister-in-law- Kathy Sykes – Manassas, VA. Numerous nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM – Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Hiwassee Pentecostal Holiness Church , Julia Simpkins Road, Hiwassee with Rev. Don Scott officiating. Interment will follow at the Cox Cemetery (Dugspur, VA).
