Sygley Sr., Oliver Carl

Oliver Carl Srygley, 86, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Kroontje Health Care Center.

He was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., on October 10, 1921. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen J. Srygley and a sister, Herlby Gwinn. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Linda Srygley, of Christiansburg; and three grandchildren, Travis Srygley, of Fredricksburg, Lucas Holden, of Christiansburg, and Rebecca Srygley, of Fredricksburg.

The family would like to thank the Kroontje Assisted Living Facility for their constant love and support throughout his life and death. Also a thanks to Steve Bailey and the Southern Care Hospice for their support and dedication.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W., Blacksburg, Va.
