Sword, Nancy Ellen

Nancy Ellen Sword, 55, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2008. She was born Nancy Ellen Smith on January 21, 1953, the daughter of Ellen and Eugene Smith, with 13 siblings. She was preceded in death by many loved ones, including husbands, Ronald Sword and “Shag” Woods.

She is survived by two sons, Jamie Woods, of Hartsville, Tenn. and Timothy Woods, of Draper. She is also survived by Cherish Woods and fiance, Daniel Carrico, of Dublin, Chasity Woods, of Hartsville, Tenn., Kristen Lambert, of Taylorsville, N.C., Gracelynn Woods, of Hartsville, Tenn.; a very special dog, Buster Brown; and many special friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 2, 2009 at 3 p.m. at the Heritage Church of God with the Rev. Mike Sweeney officiating. The Sword family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. www.mullinsfuneralhome.com.
