Swinsburg, IvaJo Clark

IvaJo Clark Swinsburg, 85. of Draper, Va., passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at the Pulaski Health Care Center. Born May 4, 1929, in Pulaski, Va., she was the daughter of the late John Harless Clark and Velma Morefield Clark.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Richard Swinsburg; son Terry Lee Swinsburg; sisters Bettie Ann Chewning and Colleen Hall; and brother Charles Donald Clark.

She was a longtime member of the Draper’s Valley Presbyterian Church.

Survivors are children Robert Stephen Swinsburg and wife Noriesse of Belton, S.C., Rev. Robin Swinsburg and wife Joan of Bradenton, Fla., and Roger Dean Swinsburg and wife Paulette of Minneapolis, Minn.; stepdaughter Carol Cavendish and husband Bernard of Roanoke, Va.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Draper’s Valley Presbyterian Church, with Associate Pastor Roland Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends 9 a.m. Wednesday until service time at the church.
