Swecker, Linda Joyce

Linda Joyce Swecker, 62, of Dublin, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at her residence. She was born March 5, 1946 in Wythe County, and was the daughter of the late Mary Quesenberry Swecker and Charles D. Swecker.

She is survived by one daughter, Patty Pastrana, of Dublin; one son, Terry Lee Haney and his wife, Linda, of Pulaski; and their father, Jerry Haney, of Clearwater, Fla.; three sisters, Bonnie Mahone and her husband, Frank, of Barren Springs, Betty Fawley of Saltville, and Zana Patton of Draper; four brothers, Frankie Swecker of Mechanicsville, Steve Swecker and his wife, Judy, of Max Meadows, Sam Swecker and his wife, Tammy, of Mechanicsville, Keith Swecker and his wife, Angie, of Dublin. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Amber Wiseman, Tyler Pastrana, Erin Haney and Tara Haney; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at 7 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons, with the Rev. Robbie Patton officiating. Interment will follow Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Christian Church Cemetery.

Visiting will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be appreciated, but for those who wish, they may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Crosswalk Church in Wytheville.
