Swanson, Scott DeWitt

Scott Dewitt Swanson, 38, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at his home. He was born in Lynchburg on June 1, 1974. He was preceded in death by his sister, Crystal Leigh Bruffy.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Tucker and Linda Swanson of Louisa; mother and stepfather, Hazel Lee and David Johnson of Christiansburg; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin Swanson and wife, Sarah of Louisa; nieces and nephew, Amanda Ooten, Matthew Bruffy and Emma Swanson.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 3 p.m. in the Grace Life Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Height officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
