Sutphin, Violet Hall

Violet Ellen Sutphin, age 80, of Christiansburg, died, Monday, September 20, 2021, at Radford Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Montgomery County, VA on May 16, 1941 to the late James Allen and Viola Pickett Godbey Hall.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Sutphin two sons, Chester Sutphin and David Stuphin. She is survived by son, Henry Glenn Sutphin; her daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Don Harris, Judy and Robert McNeil; numerous grandchildren and great-children; sister, Lois Howard; brothers, Larry Hall, Steson Hall; sister-in-law, Ethel Fraizer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sutphin Spaudling Family Cemetery, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
