Surratt, Charlotte Anis

Charlotte Anis Bowles Surratt, 82, formerly of Narrows, died Wednesday, May 9th, 2007 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She was born in Narrows on October 23, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Ida Clark Bowles. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by eight brothers, three sisters, and a grandson.

Charlotte is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Linda Bowles of Goodview, James and Dianne Sullivan of Shreveport, Louisiana, Marvin Edward and Carol Sullivan of Phoenix, Arizona; a stepdaughter, Imogene Martin of Hillsville; a sister, Carol Madero of Pearisburg; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Patterson of Rich Creek, and Doris Walter of Mount Airy, Maryland; seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, three step great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows Saturday, May 12, 2007 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows at 12 noon officiated by Jeff White.
