Suroski, Edward Michael Jr.

Edward Michael (Eddie) Suroski, Jr., of Pembroke, departed this life Monday September 4, 2006 at the home of his son in Ripplemead.

Born in Taylorsville, Illinois on June 1, 1938, he was a son of the late Edward M. Suroski, Sr. and Ella Ruth Lamb Suroski. Eddie was a retired dispatcher for the Giles County Sheriffs Department and was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Jones Suroski and a sister, Linda Howard.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Edward Michael Suroski, III of Pembroke, Daniel Wayne Suroski and wife, Samantha of Ripplemead, Carl Allen Suroski and wife, Pam of Pembroke; two daughters Ruth S. Meade and husband, Garland of Pembroke, Kathy Lynn Suroski of Pearisburg; eleven grandchildren Crystal Ann Lucas, Holly Elizabeth Meade, Tiffany Rose Meade, Sarah Renee Suroski, Edward Michael (Mickie) Suroski IV, James Daniel Suroski, Brett Allen Suroski, Anthony Wayne Woodyard, Thomas Michael Woodyard, Gary Allen Suroski, Eric Tyler Suroski; a great-grandchild, Kaileigh Hale; a sister, Nelda Clarke of Christiansburg and a brother-in-law, Bob Clarke.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday September 6, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke, with entombment following at Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg.
