Marvin Edward (Eddie) Sullivan Sr. joined our Lord and Savior March 1, 2008, after several years of heart disease. He was born in Narrows, Va., August 13, 1945.

He was preceded in death by his first-born son, Marvin Edward Sulllivan Jr.; his mother and father, Charlotte Bowles and Daniel Sullivan; his maternal grandparents, Ida and Robert Bowles, of Narrows, Va.; his paternal grandparents, Lucresia and Dennis Sullivan, of Fries, Va.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Vivian Carol Hare Sullivan; daughter, Delinda Sullivan Bohanan and husband, Denis; two sons, James Sullivan and wife, Kimberly, of Phoeniz, Ariz., and Jeramie Sullivan and wife, Allison, of Carson City, Nev.; two borthers, Tom Bowles and wife, Linda, and Jimmy Sullivan and wife, Dianne, of Louisiana; 18 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a meat cutter for a total of 30 years, 18+ years at Kroger, and enjoyed every minute of that profession. He served as a firefighter along his eldest son in Hazard, Ky., from 1983 to 1986. He and Eddie Jr. were volunteer firefighters and co-founders of the Viper and Vico Kentucky Fire Department. He is and will be missed greatly by all he touched and loved. He lived a full and rich life enjoying the simple things in life and his 18 grandchildren.

He will be put to rest beside his son, Eddie Jr., in the Robertson Cemetary in Narrows, Va., at a later date.
