Stump, Lula Largen

Lula Mae Stump, 94, of Staffordsville, VA, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022. She was born March 23, 1928 In Pulaski County, the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson & Myrtle Grace Robertson Largen.

Lula was known for being stubborn. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting and had made hundreds of beautiful quilts by hand that she enjoyed sharing with her family.

Besides her parents, Lula was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Stump, her sons, Willard Vance Stump and infant son, James Wesley Stump, her brothers, Walter Largen and Andrew Jackson Largen, Jr., and her sisters, Nannie Faye Bowes and Martha Bell Janney.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter & son-in-law, Martha & Roy Dalton; her adopted son, Gary Stump; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, William Largen.

Funeral services are planned for Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until service time, 2:00 P.M.
