Stump, Henry Lewis

Henry Lewis Stump, 73, of Newport, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Carilion Giles Hospital. Mr. Stump was born in Giles County to the late Stanford and Lillian Hypes Stump. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica Vaught, step- children, Deborah Sheppard and Roy Davis and a brother, Kenneth Stump.

Mr. Stump proudly served our country and was honorably discharged from the Air Force.

Mr. Stump is survived by his wife of 37 years, Claudine Stump of the home, his son, Brad Stump and wife, Jaime of Christiansburg, grandchildren, Dale Vaught, Amber Johnston, Caitlin Caldwell, Alex Stump, Bryce Stump, Kennedy Stump, Zachary Stump and Hunter Davis. He is also survived by his 4 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, his siblings, Ralph Stump, Donnie Stump, Jeannie Stump Wilkerson and Juanita Mullins.
