Stover, Betty Joe

Betty Joe Stover, age 80, of Christiansburg died, Monday, July 4, 2016, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Montgomery County on July 20, 1935 to the late Lawrence Whitten and Della Cooper Dowdy.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. “Gabby” Stover, two daughters, Becky and Linda Stover, son, Paul Stover, Jr., granddaughter, Tosha Bentley.

She is survived by her daughters, Ann, Bonnie, Kathy, Pat and Peggy, sons, Ray and Jerry, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, special friend, Lewis.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Dowdy Family Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Buckner officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
