Stout, Herman Booker

Herman Booker Stout, 67, of Floyd, Va., and formerly of Premier, W.Va., went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 22, 2007.

Born in Premier, W.Va., he was the son of the late Oda J. Stout and William and Lessie Dillon. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one son-in-law, James Mays of Floyd, Va.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his loving wife of 46 years, Virginia (Betty) Roberts Stout, Floyd, Va.; his daughters, Janet Stout of the home; Tina Mays, Floyd, Va., Tammy Doyle and husband Ricky, Martinsville, Va.; one son, Herman Stout II and wife, Lisa, Christiansburg, Va.; his precious grandchildren, James and Holly Mays, Darren and Jasmine Doyle, and Nathan and William Stout; brothers, Oda Stout II, Ivan Stout, John Dillon, Everette Dillon, Jackie Dillon, and Michael Dillon; sisters, Mildred Walker, Ida Roberts, Judy Matney, and Charlotte Lester. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch, W.Va. with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Fanning Funeral Home Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m. Local arrangements are being handled by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd.
