Stone, Willard William

Willard William Stone, of Christiansburg, Virginia ended his journey on earth and joined his son in Heaven on Friday, April 1st, 2022. A man who lived a simple life but made a lasting impact on each person he met.

Willy, as he was known, was born on September 5th, 1963, son of Marshall and Macel Stone. He is proceeded in death by his only child, Tyler William Stone; beloved mother, Macel Stone; his older sister, Sharon Shomaker and nephew-in-law, Matthew Moses.

Left here to cherish his memory and celebrate his life are his father, Marshall Stone; his siblings Donald Stone and wife Teresa; sister Kim McDaniel; nephew Brian Sowers and wife Jennifer; nieces Tara Harris and Brandy Moses; nieces Jenny and Emily Stone; grandsons Tipton Stone and Kade Stone; great nieces Alesha Sharp and daughter Chloey, Amber Sowers and Mikayla Poff, Savannah Harris, Alyssa Bland and Mia Moses; and long-time friend Richard Hinkley.

Willy was friend to all while working at Sunoco in Christiansburg and people couldn’t help but love him. He never got in any hurry and things were usually on his time, but he always had a big heart and a smile.

The family will have a memorial service for Willy on Sunday, April 3rd at 4:00 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, Virginia; with Pastor Kenneth Wells officiating.
