Stone, Joan “Bonnie” Peake

Joan “Bonnie” Peake Stone, age 75, of Pulaski, Va., passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012. She was born on March 2, 1937, in Wythe County,the daughter of the late William Peake and Mary Hardy Peake.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Stone; daughter, Sussie Stone Massie; grandson, Michael Saunders; and great-grandson, Kenneth Robert Saunders.

Bonnie was a member of the Original Church of God in Pulaski. She is survived by four daughters, Mary Jane Saunders, Karen and Mike Malone, Kathy and Leroy Stowers all of Pulaski, Brenda Sue Stone of Austinville,Va.; son, Clarence Jr. and Vickie Stone of Hillsville, Va; three sisters, Deanna Pauley of Hillsville, Helen and Buford Corvin of Wytheville, Va.,Linda Dell and Roy Windfield of Rural Retreat, Va.; 12 randchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at the Reese Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Walls and the Rev. Charles McPeak officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethany Cemetery.
