Stilwell, Rodney Wayne

Rodney Wayne Stilwell, 40, of 5834 Jewel Ave., Dublin, Va., was called home to meet our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 15, 2007.

He was born July 31, 1967 in Radford, Va. Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Sharon Cox Stilwell; daughters, Brooklynn “Brook” Stilwell and Danielle N. Carter; stepdaughter, Shannon A. Hodge; parents, father, the late William “Taft” Stilwell; mother, Dallus E. Vines; stepdad, Frank Vines Jr.; brothers and sisters, sister, Chrissy S. Cupp; brother-in-law, Greg Cupp; brother, Rocky A. Goad; sister, Karen Rear; brother-in-law, Mickey Rear; stepbrothers and sisters, half sisters, Lois Taylor and Debbi Cole; half brother, Bill “Lynn” Stilwell; stepsisters, Shalee Vines and Patricia Smith; nieces and nephews, Brandon Cupp, Taylor Cupp, Josh Winkle, Christopher Thompson and Ashley Thomas; and grandchildren, Austin J. Ingles, Carla J. Hodge and Kyle W. Hodge.

He was employed by Interstate Construction, Dublin and attended River of Life Church, Dublin. Wayne was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was was loved by all who has known him. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. During his last weeks, he served the Lord with all of his heart doing work for God’s Kingdom by building a church to increase the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 18, 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m. at New Life Harvest Church, 908 Noblin Street, Radford, Va. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at New Lift Harvest Church. Interment will follow at Sunrise Burial Park, Fairlawn, Va. Stevens Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the family.
