Stewart Jr., Arthur Jackson

Arthur Jackson (Jack) Stewart Jr., 80, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010. He was born on November 1, 1930, to the late Arthur J. and Nellie Stewart. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Dean Stewart; and his sister, Laura F. Stinnett. He is survived by his son, Jerry Wayne Stewart; daughter, Judy S. Atkinson; grandchildren, Jacqueline Newsome, Gwendolyn Lala, Jerri Lynn Warburton, Kimberly Span, and Whitney Span; seven greatgrandchildren; and two greatgreat-grandchildren. Special thanks to Carilion Clinic Hospice and his wonderful nurse, Pam Forsyth. Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His dedication to his work and family was an inspiration to many over the years. A Funeral Service will be conducted 11 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2010, from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jube Burke officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, Va. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 21, 2010, from 3 until 5 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.
