Stevers, Hampton Wesley

Hampton Wesley Stevers, 68, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, December 15, 2007, at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

He was born in Giles County, Va. on November 6, 1939 to the late Mason and Josephine Robison Stevers. He is survived by his sister, Anna Smith, of Blacksburg; nieces, Anna Criner, Barbara McCoy, Loretta Farley, Frances Collins, Linda Cook; nephews, Winston Smith, Steve Bailey; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. James O. Flaugher officiating. Interment will follow in the Stevers Family Cemetery, Wolf Creek, Narrows. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Monday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
