Stephens, Willie Hoge
Willie Hoge Stephens, 76, of the Little Creek community of Dublin, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at his home. He was born June 29, 1939 at Goodwin Ferry in Giles County, the son of the late Sadie Mae Stephens.
He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a sharp shooter. He was a godly man who attended church at Pathway to Heaven Church. He loved to sing, loved his family and attending family reunions.
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Rebecca Ann Stephens and a special aunt that served as a second mama, Gracie Stephens.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons and daughters-in-law, William Douglas Stephens of the Southwestern Training Center, Hillsville, Timothy Dewayne & Tammy Stephens, Campbellsville, KY and John & Priscilla Stephens, Pulaski; a half brother, John D. Stephens; three special grandchildren, Brittany, Haley and Kristy Stephens; several step-grandchildren; and many extended family members and special friends, too many to list.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at French’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Winfred Keene, Rev. Billy Akers and Rev. Rusty Spears officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Garden, Dublin, with military rites provided.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at French’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Dublin from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00P.M.
