Steger, Sidney Miles

Sidney Miles Steger, 64, of Pulaski, Va., died Sunday night, Sept. 7, 2014, in the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, Christiansburg, Va. He was born July 18, 1950, in Radford, Va., and was the son of the late William Denny Steger and Mary Sue Miles Steger. Steger was a fireman for many years, and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors are brothers and sisters-in-law William Denny Jr. and Karen H. Steger, and John and Robin L. Steger; sister and brother-in-law Emily and Jerry Thomas; special friend Tommy L. Quesenberry; and many nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski, with Rev. Hugh Kilgore officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Flowers are appreciated, and memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church, 135 Fourth St. NW, Pulaski, VA 24301.
