Stanley, Gary Zane

Gary Zane Stanley, April 6th 1951-October 1st 2020 of Christiansburg Virginia, peacefully passed away surrounded by his two sisters after a short illness of pneumonia and kidney failure. Born in Christiansburg Virginia, it was his home most of his 69 years.

He was an electrician by trade, but could do almost anything. He loved fishing, hunting, working puzzles and gardening. He had a wicked sense of humor, and love joking with everyone. He never met a stranger.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents Eugene A. and Louise Carden Stanley. He is survived by his sisters, April Stanley Clark and Nancy Stanley Wallace; and his only niece, Michelle D. Wallace. He is also survived by a special Aunt, Gilda McDaniel Carden; many cousins scattered across the country; and also his favorite beggar of treats, Jethro Cat.

Visitation will be Monday October 5, 2020 at the Horne Funeral Home from 5PM to 7PM. Funeral service by Pastor Porter Riner will follow immediately at 7PM at Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
