Stanger, Mable

Mable Stanger, 85, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leo Stanger. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Glenn (Doris) Stanger, Jennifer (Gary) Brumfield, and David (Anita) Stanger; and her grandchildren, Josh, Tina, Shannon, Jason, Matthew, Bethany, John, and Faith. She has 14 great-grandchildren. Of honorable mention is the devoted care she received from her recent caregivers, Hannah Abate and Patricia Gordon, and her lifelong friends Charlotte Dollins and Zelwood Weddle.

Mable was a devoted mother and grandmother, leaving a legacy of love of family.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at Belmont Cemetery, with Rev. Jerry Hylton and Beaver Terry officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospital, St. Jude’s Hospital, or Belmont Cemetery Perpetual Fund.
