Stables, Gloria Lee

Gloria Lee Stables, 71, of Narrows, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Princeton, W.Va., on March 24, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Tea Robertson and Virgie Pennington Robertson.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Irene McPherson, Edna Lawson, Carlotta Evans and Jo Ann Hill; and three brothers, Bill Robertson, Charlie Robertson and Otis Robertson.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 53 years, Bill J. Stables, of Narrows; one son and his wife, Timmy and Linda Stables, of Narrows; two daughters, Teresa Giles and husband, Craig, of Pearisburg, and Spring McMillion and husband, Russell, of Moneta; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; that she loved so deeply.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2008, in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Tom Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.
