Toy Marie Early St.Clair, 78, of Lafayette, went peacefully to be with God on Sunday evening March 26, 2006.

Toy was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-five years, John Archie; her parents, John and Zula Early; and brothers, Junior, William and Glenn Early.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Kenny Lawson and Betty and Robert Edwards, all of Elliston. She leaves an adored grandson, Dennis Edwards with his wife, Melissa and a cherished granddaughter, Lindsay Lawson, who will carry through their lives the memory of total and unconditional love. Toy also leaves special friends, Bettie Hatcher of Lafayette and Rose Craig of Elliston.

Those who knew Toy know that although she worked many years, her family and home were the absolute focus of her life. It was through the support of her sisters, her special caregivers and Carilion Hospice staff like Alan Mabry that she was granted the blessing of ending her life in the home that she loved with her children by her side. For that blessing her family thanks God and all of you who helped.

Her family also extends a special thank you to her loving and supportive pastor Gary Shepherd and his wife, Brenda who stayed by her through many years.
