Spicer, Wilma Browning

Wilma Lee Browning Spicer, 66 of Narrows passed away Friday, September 1st, 2017 at her home.

She was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on March 11th, 1951 and was the daughter of the late Roosevelt Browning and America Marcum Browning Brewster. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Spicer, Sr.; two brothers, Walter Browning and Columbus Browning; and a sister, Dorothy Pack.

Wilma was a longtime employee of Holiday Motor Lodge in Pearisburg. She loved playing bingo, spending time with her grandchildren, music and watching westerns on TV. A loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by a son, Ronnie Spicer, Jr. and wife Deloris of Narrows; a daughter, America (Dawn) Spicer of Narrows; three grandsons, Brett Whitlow, Brandon Spicer, and Christopher Spicer; a granddaughter, Naudia Spicer; a great-granddaughter, Madison Whitlow; three sisters, Jean Canterbury of Logan, West Virginia, Ann Clowers of Ballard, West Virginia and Pam Faris and husband Jeff of Narrows; a brother, Wayne Browning and wife Carol of Buck, West Virginia; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, including a very special friend, Mary Neice.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 6th, 2017 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor Rick Munsey officiating. Burial will follow in Angels Rest Cemetery near Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Chapel from 11 AM until just prior to the service.
