Zelma Mae Thompson Spence, 83 of Floyd, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley & Matte Clarice Moles Thompson; husband, John Paul Spence; and son, Gary Paul Spence.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons & daughter-in-law, Dwight D. Spence, Robert W. & Melissa W. Spence; daughters & sons-in-law, Velva S. & Garry Lineback, Reva Kay & Bobby Pack; sister, Nellie Thompson; brother, Marvin Thompson; grandchildren, Joshua Spence, Isaac Spence, Jeremiah Spence, Stevie Bowman, Jennifer Lineback, Amanda Bertelsen, Jake Altizer, Jonathan Spence; great-grandchildren, Kiley Bowman, Chloe Spence, Corben Spence, Natalee Spence, Thomas Bowman, Olivia Spence and Lukas Bertelsen; special cat, Little One.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday July 9, 2014 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Henley and Rev. Emory Tarpley officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday July 8, 2014 at the funeral home.
