Sparks, Crystal Michelle

Crystal Michelle Sparks, 43, of Narrows, VA, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at her home. She was born April 27, 1976 at Pearisburg, VA, the daughter of the late Maury David & Louise Bonham Sparks.

She was a member of the Narrows High School Class of 95. She attended church at The King’s Way Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was Dallas Cowboy fan and loved snowmen. She was dedicated to her work, when able, but endured a long, courageous battle with Myasthenia gravis, a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease that causes weakness in the skeletal muscles, which are responsible for breathing and moving parts of the body, including the arms and legs. This brought on the onslaught of manic depression and bipolar disorder that altered the quality of her life.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother & sister-in-law, Bryant & Valerie Sparks; her nephews, Caleb Sparks and Aaron Sparks; her niece, Whitney Parker; her grandmother, Josephine Sparks and an uncle, Roscoe (“Boy”) Sparks.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at The King’s Way Pentecostal Holiness Church, Wolf Creek, with Rev. Tony Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradley Cemetery, Lindside, WV. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A. M. until service time, 1:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Crystal’s honor to A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, 2508 Walkers Creek Valley Rd., Pearisburg, VA 24134, to help with funeral expenses.
