amem_prairie-road.jpgWilliam Curtis Spangler, 78, of Salem, formerly of Rich Creek, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Richfield Recovery and Care Center. He was born in Giles County on September 13, 1934, to the late Elbert and Edith Spangler.

He retired from General Electric in 1991 after 27 years, he was also employed with N&W Railroad and First Team Auto.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Spangler; daughter, Deborah S. Cregger; sons, Steven Craig Spangler and Gregory Allen Spangler, all of Salem; four grandchildren, Amber Gray, Brittney Cregger, Brandon Spangler, Adam Spangler; one great-grandson, Cameron Atkins; several nieces, nephews; and many special friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Lotz Salem Chapel. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home Salem.
