Spangler, Argie Marie Parcell

Argie P. Spangler, of Pearisburg, Va., born June 15, 1913, to Abner and Elsie Parcell departed this earth on Thursday, November 5, 2009, and entered her heavenly home into the arms of her heavenly father.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 52 years, Hunter; two daughters, Helen and Joy; six brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Alvin W. and Bonnie Spangler, of Marion, John E. and Gwen Spangler, of Pulaski, Bill and Karen Spangler, of Pearisburg, and Darrell and Missy Spangler, of Ballard, W.Va.; and one daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Lewis Bostwick, of Narrows. She leaves to cherish her memories 10 grandchildren, Jeff Spangler, Scott Spangler and wife, Jennifer, Carla Kessinger, Tracy Spangler, Bradley Spangler, Josh Davis and wife, Kristal, Summer Sturgis and husband, Joseph, Sunshine Davis, D.J. Spangler and wife, Christina, and Angela Clemons. She also leaves 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was well loved by the community, church family and Highland Ridge Rehab Center. She was a long time member of New Village Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and Treasurer. She dedicated her life caring and inspiring others and witnessing about her love and relationship with Jesus Christ. She will be sadly missed here on earth but welcomed in Heaven with open arms from loved ones who have gone on before.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2009, at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate with the Rev. Leslie Shelton, the Rev. Albert Carroll, Pastor Eddie Kendall and Diane Collins officiating. Burial will be held in the Staffordsville Cemetery, Staffordsville. The visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009, after 2 p.m. at the funeral home and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
