Wurzburger, Gil Cleveland

Gil Cleveland Wurzburger, 55, of Riner, Va., went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Charles W. Wurzburger and Mary F. Wurzburger. Surviving are his wife, Judy Wurzburger; daughter, Ashley Wurzburger; stepson, Jeffery Blankenship; grandson, Brian Wurzburger, the pride and joy of his life. Also surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, C.W. Wurzburger and Julie Wurzburger; brother, Davy L. Wurzburger; aunt, Rosie W. Smith; nieces, Christy Dishon, Denise Williams and Tabitha Wurzburger; mother-inlaw, Myrtle Smith; brother-inlaw and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Nancy Smith; and special friends, Walter and Ann Stultz. Thanks to special physician, Harry McCoy, and nursing staff, as well as the nursing staff at Montgomery Regional Hospital, for your many months of care given to Gil. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the Auburn Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley "Shake" Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, in Christiansburg, Va. Arrangements by DeVilbiss Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Radford, Va.
