Weeks, Myrtle Thomas

Myrtle Thomas Weeks, 92, of Floyd, went home to be with her Lord Saturday morning, May 5, 2007.

She was a member of the Floyd Baptist Church, was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Clyde W. Thomas, and second husband, Kelly Weeks, two infant children, two daughters and a son-in-law, Nettie Janney, Ruby and Sam Smith.

She is survived two sons and their wives, Grover and Robertine Thomas of Salem, Clyde and Deronda Thomas of Floyd; two daughters and husbands, Lois and Herbert Considder, Mary and Amos Smith; and a son-in-law James Janney, all of Roanoke; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Edward Jarrels of Blacksburg; half sister Edna Pring; and a half brother, Ike Jarrels, both of Roanoke.

Funeral services, Monday, 2 p.m., May 7, 2007, at Floyd Baptist Church with Dr. J. E. Edwards and Dr. Dave Holladay, officiating with interment in the Jacksonville cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wood Funeral home in Floyd. Arrangements by Wood Funeral Home.
