Harry Isaac DeHart, 80, departed this earth to begin his eternal life on Thursday, September 20, 2007. He was born on November 27, 1926, to Homer and Amanda DeHart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harvey DeHart and James DeHart; a sister, Vina DeHart VanHoy; and four infant sons. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Blanche Duncan DeHart; three devoted daughters and their husbands, Deborah and Stephen Ingram, Christiansburg, Va.; Karen and John Corn, Radford, Va.; and Linda and Donald Wilson, Raleigh, N.C. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Jennifer Ingram, Johnson City, Tenn.; Stephanie Ingram Smothermon and husband Daniel, Clarksville, Tenn.; Jonathan Ingram and wife Christy, Christiansburg, Va.; Amanda Corn Bostic and husband Randy, Nashville, Tenn.; Ben Corn, Nashville, Tenn.; Abby Wilson, Nashville, Tenn.; and Emily Wilson, Raleigh, N.C.; two great-grandsons, Luke and Caleb Smothermon, Clarksville, Tenn. He is also survived by a brother, Mac DeHart, Roanoke, Va.; and four sisters, Callie Whitt, Rustburg, Va.; Nancy Jones, Apopka, Fla.; Jessie Huddle, Richmond, Va.; and Sue Gagnet, Salem, Va.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Harry worked for many years as a furniture salesman at Thomas & Ingram Furniture in Radford before starting his own business, Direct Sales. He was well-known as the "TV man" at the old Radford Community Hospital long before TVs were standard in hospital rooms. He was a past president of the Belle Heth PTA and served for many years in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was an avid boater, fisherman, roller skater, and inventor. He was a member of the Radford Church of Christ and is also survived by his loving family there.

The family will receive friends at the Radford Church of Christ on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at the church building on Sunday afternoon at 2.
