Sowers, Sue Gardner

Sue Gardner Sowers, 97, of Willis, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2006. She was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Ladies Aid Society and the Home Demonstration Club for 65 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin E. Sowers; son-in-law, M.R. (Bob) Goulet; three sisters and one brother.

Survivors include daughter, Blanche D. Goulet, Alexandria, Va.; seven nieces and nephews including: Bill Gardner and Cora Miller, both of Willis, Va.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2006 at St. Marks Lutheran Church, Willis, with the Rev. Philip Bouknight officiating. Interment will follow at Willis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd.
