Sowers, Nelda Reed

Nelda Reed Sowers, 68, of Radford, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph D. Sowers of Radford; her two sons, Jeff Sowers and Blake Sowers of Radford; her daughter, Pam Martin of Christiansburg; her brother, Kenneth Reed of Christiansburg; her two sisters, Thannah Radford of Willis and Nile Reed of Radford and three grandchildren, Joey Sowers, Alyssa Sowers and Amanda Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at Gethsemane Baptist Church, with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at White Rock cemetery in Floyd County. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 27, 2007, at Gethsemane Baptist Church.
