Sowers, Malcolm Scott

Malcolm Scott Sowers, 62, formerly of Floyd, Va., passed away in Riverton, Wyo.

Scotty was born December 27, 1944 to the late Malcolm and Gertrude Sowers. After an honorable discharge from the United States Army in 1970, Scotty made his home in various places during his adult life but was always proud of being born and raised in Floyd.

He is survived by his brother, Joseph Sowers of Floyd; sisters, Mary Sowers of Colorado and Susan Wimmer of Bent Mountain; one nephew; and two nieces. He was very close to his aunts, especially his aunt, Catherine Weeks.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd.
