Sowers, Ilene Reed

Ilene Reed Sowers, 85, of Christiansburg, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton V. Sowers; and a brother, Marvin Reed.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cookie Sowers; grandson, J. R. Sowers; sisters-in-law, Lucy Reed, Elva Sowers, Glada Hale, and Vera Sowers; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Betty Wright.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 1, 2011, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The memorial service will immediately follow at 2 p.m., with the Reverend Lane Board officiating, with interment thereafter at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
