Sowers, Donna Pennington

Donna Pennington Sowers, 53, of Copper Hill, Va., passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Church and previously a member of Antioch Church of the Brethren, Callaway, and a former employee of Uttermost.

She is survived by her husband, Joel L. Sowers, of Copper Hill; daughters, Crystal France, Monica and Bradley Turner, Rachel Divita, Jesse and Donnie Sowers, Tasha and Stephen Stout; parents, Bill and Ellie Pennington; sisters, Janet Pennington, Beverly Wood, Carolie Pennington; brother, Dave Pennington; grandchildren, Maddie, Ella, Kate, Kendall, Abby, Bryce, Ty, Dylan, Aleaha, Melanie, Lacey, Brendan, Anthony, Angel, Ryan; the Gussler family; special friends, Jeanette Shorter, Kathy Jones, Suzanne Guilliams, Loreli Holt.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., March 24, 2009, at Antioch Church of the Brethren, Callaway, with the Rev. Greg Mills, the Rev. Tom Powers, the Rev. David Wolfe officiating with interment in the Restvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home in Floyd. Arrangements by Wood Funeral Home in Floyd.
