Sowers, Covy Melvin

Covy Melvin Sowers, 96, of Willis, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 28, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elverna Harris Sowers and Great-granddaughter, Wendy Weddle.

He is survived by his son, Roy Sowers; daughters, Christine Martin (Owen) , Melva Sutphin; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; one great-great great grandchild.

Funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Maberry Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Varner officiating with Military Rites by Floyd V.F.W. Post #7854 and American Legion Post #127. Interment to follow in the Topeco Cemetery.

Family will receive friends, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Maberry Funeral Home.
