Southern, Donald Lee

Donald Lee Southern, 77, of Pulaski, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. He was born on May 8, 1930, in Pulaski County and was the son of the late Edith Marshall Southern and Early Floyd Southern. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Trail Southern, and daughter, Mary Edith Southern Knotter.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald William “Bill” and Debbie Southern, and John Early and Jeannie Southern; one sister, Marie Southern Harman; one brother, Edward F. Southern; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. F

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2008, from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Dublin Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, May 1, 2008, from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
