Songer, William Reed

William Reed Songer, 55, of Blacksburg, Va., passed away Saturday, October 7, 2006.

He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Reed Songer. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Linda Songer, Blacksburg; his mother, Macie Elizabeth Songer, Blacksburg; sisters, Sandra Hope Reed, Blacksburg, Jane Owens, Pittsylvania County; children, Charlotte Hall, Pulaski County, Alva, Pam Cox, Forest Park, Greg Conner, Blacksburg, Crystal Roy, Blacksburg. Also surviving are four grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
