He is survived by his sons, Robert Songer and Carl Songer; daughter, Angelia and Paul Savel; grandchildren, Katherine “Nikki”, Yasmine, Joshua, Kayla, and Tamera; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Oceana, Addlyn, and Sophia; and brothers, Michael “Ike” Songer and Daniel Songer.
Eddie proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. Eddie was a mechanic and retired after over 20 years of dedication to the Town of Christiansburg. Eddie had a passion for motorcycles and loved anything Harley Davidson.
Those who knew him well remember his stubbornness, but above all how he was a kind and gentle person who loved helping others above himself. He will be greatly missed by many but not forgotten.
